I met Meredith on Instagram through people I don’t remember.
I immediately ordered her book, Alpine Cooking. A book that I love
and that everyone should have on the kitchen table.
At the end of January 2020, a month before the pandemic, I met Meredith for dinner
at the Brite de Larieto. A restaurant in Cortina d'Ampezzo, to which Nicola and I
are very attached.
After collaborating with Mimi Thorisson I dreamed of a collaboration with
Meredith, two women deeply different like Friulane from Pedule are,
but with the same passion for cooking and authentic things.
Between a Lagrain-Abbey and a Sylvaner-Kofererhof we have listened to her story:
seven years traveling between the Italian, Swiss, Austrian and French Alps
to collect everything that is then in the book. After that dinner I thought
how I could collaborate with her, and so the idea of
the Sentier Mountain Guide was born.
